Here's part of something sent by Zandra Martin....

...You may question whether President Bush was the right choice; obviously, he has made some blunders in his tenure as president. But two of his decisions alone left no doubt he was God's choice: Roberts and Alito. These two Supreme Court Justices have proven critical in the process of breaking the hold of humanism, death and anti-God agendas that have ruled the Court for 50 years.. I assure you that more devastation - the shedding of innocent blood, immorality, decay of the family and an erosion of our godly heritage - has flowed into our nation through that institution than any other door in America . Many times more. The poison allowed into America through their decisions is beyond any of our abilities to articulate.
The reality in America is that you don't need to control Congress or the White House to rule the nation. You only need 5 people - 5 out of 9 on the Supreme Court. And for decades those who disagree with just about everything you and I stand for have been in control! In Bush's two terms, the process of turning this around began with the appointments of Roberts and Alito. Now, we win some cases 5-4 and lose some 4-5. (We barely outlawed partial birth abortion. The vote of one judge saved thousands of babies from this horror.) We need one more conservative Justice for a consistent majority, then more to build a strong majority.
In Obama's own words, "the next president will appoint at least one, perhaps two or more Supreme Court Justices." He's right. Almost certainly two or more older, liberal Justices are waiting until after the elections to retire, in hopes of Obama winning and appointing more liberals to replace them. And he certainly would. He voted against the confirmation of Roberts and Alito. So did Biden. And Biden led the fight against Justice Thomas several years back, another of the 4 solid conservatives. Make no mistake about it, the two of them do have a litmus test for Supreme Court Justices, and a major part of that test is Roe vs. Wade.
McCain and Palin, on the other hand, both have very strong pro-life positions. This alone makes the choice for President simple. To vote for the 2nd and 3rd most liberal senators (Obama and Biden), both of whom are firmly and blatantly pro-abortion, would be unconscionable. Obama has actually said that if he wins, he would like his first action as president to be the signing of the Freedom of Choice Act, which would eliminate every other law against any aspect of abortion (partial birth abortion, parental notification, etc., etc.). And with a democratic majority in the House and Senate, pretty much any legislation he and Biden want to pass will be a slam-dunk. There are many other unrighteous positions they hold but this position alone makes the choice easy. If they win this election, it will set America back decades in the cause of life and the restoration we seek.

This is the problem with the conservative base in America, you always have to bring God and religion into everything. America was founded on freedom of religion, not freedom of Christianity. Our government is suppose to be set up to protect that freedom of religion, and that means if you want to worship buddha, krishna, god or the devil, you should be able to. That is the whole purpose of the supreme court, to protect this right, this freedom of religion. They shouldn't be there trying to fulfill "God's purpose", as some Americans don't believe in God! You right wing conservatives need to learn to seperate church from state. You could argue many of your points from a "moral" standpoint and leave religion out of it. It's why you're consistently losing support, you come off as judgemental and pushy, and people feel like your trying to shove your religion down there throats. And as far as this whole debate about abortion and the rights of the unborn, what exactly are you doing about the millions of infants and children across the world that ARE being born everyday into a life of poverty, without proper nutrition and medical care to keep them alive? You time and energy and resources would be better used improving the chances of these already existing lives. Or mabye you should encourage your fellow perishoners to become foster parents to at least one of the millions of children that are in the broken foster care system right here in America. We are already inundated with children that people can't or won't care for, and instead of reaching out a helping hand to help those already in existence, you chose to raise a fist and shout at people that are facing, probably the toughest decisions of their lives, about bringing a new life into this crazy world. It's not your place to judge these people, that's between them and God, right? And you never mention the numbers concerning the many women that were needlessly dying after having back alley abortions before they were made legal. I guess your Christian stance is that they deserved it because they were murderers. Or how about how many womens lives that have been saved by being able to terminate a pregnancy that might have killed them? You don't mention that either. I guess their lives don't matter to you? It always amazes me, too, that "pro-life" people ususally support the death penalty, what about that life? Does God not frown upon this type of killing? Also, shouldn't you all be vegans? I mean, these animals are alive, should we not value their life? How would you like it, if the Buddhist were trying to force their belief that animals have spirits and shouldn't be harmed, off onto you? What if they were trying to make eating animal products against the law, based soley on their religious beliefs? The demise of Christianity will be its own intolerance. It's really sad, because there are so many really great, kind hearted people that could do such wonderful things, if all the Christian churches could just get their heads out of their asses and truly work at making the world a better place. Instead they use all of their resources trying to "spread the word of God" and "control the agenda of the government". The true beauty of the world, especially America, is in its differences - different colors, languages, cultures, AND RELIGIONS. Christianity could be so much better if it preached to its followers, to not just tolerate, but even except and appreciate those differences. It doesn't have to be about making everyone a Christian. That's really no different than the Muslims trying to make everyone be Muslims, or ANY religion trying to force their beliefs on the entire nation. And in regards to your mention of slavery- there was a time when Christianity supported slavery, they were wrong. There was also a time when they murdered, in the name of the Lord, mentally ill women they declared to be withces, and it was wrong. And a time when they didn't allow inter-racial marriages, again they were wrong. Now they are on a crusade againt the gay community, and this is SO wrong! I'm so sick of hearing this argument about God not allowing people to be born gay! Does God want people to be born deaf, blind, disfigured, or with ANY kind of challenge at all? And if he gives you these people to teach you something, could that not also be the case with gay people? Yet you cast a stone at these people, and say they are ungodly. I have seen more "god" in many of these people, then I have seen in an entire church! They are the ones taking in these unwanted babies that you guilt people into having, (when they really don't want them) and then they end up in foster care! And instead of allowing them to foster that family, and unite in marriage, you deny them that right. Then you say they are causing the breakdown of the family unit in America. Christianity itself is huge contributor to the moral demise in America. It needs to quit finding the flaws with the rest of the world, and start finding and fixing its own.
